But the Dutch willingness to speak English for foreigners decreases substantially in social situations when there is only one non-Dutch person, a situation I frequently find myself in. I recently moved to London .. am getting used to it ..and quite liking it now. But Neatherlands is not too bad in terms of people speaking English .. is'nt it? When I had gone there it was such a welcome change after France..and getting lost in Belgium while driving to Amsterdam and not being able to understand a word of how to get onto the correct highway! Be warned that BBC forcasts rain on Thursday so if you are here then be prepared for the mist called rain! I would also not really trust the BBC. Have a lovely time.
